Blogging Assignment Details

Once you read this book, you must do some blog commenting on your own as well as give feedback to your classmates comments.

Assignment Instructions

PART ONE:  For a minimum of 4 chapters (of your choosing) you must create an original comment (post).  I will start a post for each chapter in the book.  You must also comment on a minimum  of 10 posts of your peers who are commenting on Stiff.  Your comments need to be more than, "I agree" or "I liked it too".  Your responses need to be well thought out and provide true feedback.

Use these guiding questions for your posts/discussion and comments - these can help you formulate your posts: 

• Focus on why you found it interesting (or not)?
• What biology concepts were addressed and how will this tie in to our biology course?
• What is your personal interpretation of the text?

PART TWO:  Comment on posts that I have created with the following questions?  You must comment on EACH of the three items below.  You must also respond to at least 5 of your classmates’ answers.

• Purpose: What is the speaker’s reason for writing the text?
• Tone: What is the author’s attitude toward the subject?
• Narrative Style:  How does the writer tell the “story”?
